J.D. – 2012
College of Charleston
B.A. – 2007
Benjamin A. Parker received a Presidential Scholarship and College of Charleston Academic Scholarship to attend the College of Charleston, where he graduated in 2007, earning a B.A. in both English and Spanish.
While at the College of Charleston, Benjamin was a member of Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish Honors Society), and studied abroad in Trujillo, Spain, enabling him to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish. Shortly after graduating from CofC, Benjamin worked as lead investigator at a personal injury law firm for two years, giving him a firm grasp on the legal process plaintiffs must undergo to recover just compensation for their injuries.
Benjamin quickly recognized that a law degree would allow him to help clients on a much more significant level. He enrolled at the Charleston School of Law on a Merit Scholarship, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2012. Through drafting court orders, bench briefs, and preparing extensive legal research as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Irvin G. Condon, Benjamin came to understand the rigorous scrutiny of a Judge and the high standard to which legal work should be held. Benjamin’s internship at AGV Sports Group in Frederick, MD, where he worked with in-house corporate counsel on a multi-million dollar contract case, honed his practical legal skills, as well as his ability to research and write on complex legal issues.
Benjamin was admitted to practice law in South Carolina in 2012. He worked at a general practice law firm on Broad Street for several years, where he handled a wide range of legal issues, zealously representing the clients’ interests at every possible opportunity. He now practices primarily personal injury law at John Price Law Firm, where he strives to use the knowledge he has gained from his past experience to achieve the best possible outcome for every case he takes on. Additionally, his proficiency in speaking Spanish has allowed him to expand the client base of John Price Law Firm. After living in the Charleston area for over a decade, Benjamin is passionate about his work and helping the people who live here. Ben was recently named a 2017-2018 Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
He is on the board of a local non-profit, Backpack Buddies Seabrook Island, where he and other volunteers work hard in the fight against child hunger. He enjoys spending his time with his lovely wife Rachel, their daughter Brynn, and his two cats, Baloo and Bagheera.
