Shawn has been a tireless advocate on behalf of his clients since earning his law license in 2004. He volunteered for the United States Army after 9/11 and deployed to Iraq in 2007. Shawn served in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps and successfully prosecuted a number of felonies. As a military prosecutor, Shawn worked with the victims of crime and assisted them in obtaining the help they needed at all levels, not just in the courtroom.
Shawn was Honorably Discharged in 2008 and joined a large insurance defense firm, with his focus being on medical malpractice and long-term care defense. Those cases involved everything from abuse and neglect of a loved one in a nursing home to wrongful death of a patient. Shawn knows how insurers evaluate cases and wants to utilize this experience to make sure you are fairly and fully compensated for your loss.
Since moving to Charleston, Shawn has been actively involved in his community. He has been active in the Daniel Island Rotary Club, the Charleston Exchange Club, Veterans of Foreign War Post 10624, and serves on his neighborhood community association. He has coached Little League soccer with the Charleston Recreation Department and has volunteered for other local charities.
In his spare time, he enjoys nothing more than spending time with his two children. Shawn also kayaks, cycles, and competes in triathlons.
